Mitzee (Manchester, UK.) is an unapologetically queer anti- drag alter-ego created by Mark Powell. Mitzee plays with gender normativity, switching the role from ‘male’ to ‘female’ to something in between. The work created tends to take inspiration from many art forms including Theatre, Drag, Cabaret, Visual and Digital Art. The end product aims to provoke the audience and pose question around gender, celebrity and popular culture.
